[00:00:00] Hello everyone from the Goat Rodeal Podcast. I have just finished writing a book and I'm actually in the process of completing the production through Thomas Nelson right now
[00:00:12] In fact, I wanted to share it with you now because it's probably about 30-ish days before I'm able to actually start selling it and sharing it and explaining it
[00:00:24] I'm really, really excited. The title of the book is Real, the subtitle or the idea of the book is Rewilding Ministry from the inside out and I start with us
[00:00:34] Some things in life, they happen in a way where you can feel lost in the woods. You kind of wish you had a guide. Nothing can ever prepare you for these life-changing events that turn you around
[00:00:44] How do we find our way when we feel as though we've been flying right side up our whole lives? Yet we find it really we've been upside down
[00:00:52] When we're starting out in ministry, when we're involved in any other form of ministry, we can think that we have an all figured out until the rubber hits the road
[00:00:59] But ministry as I've understand it demands an authentic person with a submitted heart to Jesus Christ
[00:01:05] Any middle ground is cheapening things to the point where it can be more of you unless of him
[00:01:10] There needs to be a change, a rewilding of the pastoral heart. We need to get back to the days of Acts 2 and live them out beyond the knowledge of the words themselves
[00:01:20] Those are the kinds of private revolutions that send ripples throughout your sphere of relationship
[00:01:25] Nothing can prepare you for when the Lord calls you out of the rhythm of life to walk his will, his way
[00:01:31] As you read the book, you're going to get answers to different kinds of questions like what can you expect when you enter into ministry?
[00:01:38] Why is it so important to be your authentic self? You're real self
[00:01:42] What are the costs of living life in ministry and how can you live a life like the disciples lived?
[00:01:49] You may not be called to a life of plenty. You may not be called to a life of poverty
[00:01:53] But the point is that you may lead and serve and steward wealth as much as you may have to struggle through difficulty
[00:02:00] No matter what you have to follow in Jesus' footsteps one step at a time
[00:02:05] So this book is coming out fairly soon, I wanted to let everybody know just that it's on its way
[00:02:11] And I'm really excited about it. I hope you will be too if you want to learn more about it
[00:02:17] You can actually go to Earl Buckin, E.A.R.L.B.U.C.H.A.N. dot com
